Test balls taken major roll and we have come across the complaint which states that the quality of the SG test ball was poor and India could not give their best and this has disappointed the team.
Ravichandran Ashwin, Ishant Sharma are best in their field when it comes to bowling and they do carry a lot of experience in measuring the quality of the ball. And when they have started complaining about the ball it only means there is an major issue with the given lot.
In Bengaluru on Saturday, the ball went out of shape and had to be replaced in the seventh over of the South Africa innings where in the ball should atleast sustain for 50 overs.
Captain Virat Kohli also raised his voice with Ravichandran Ashwin over the quality of SG Test balls used during the first Test against England. The ball went completely soft and by 60th over stitches started coming out of the seam. And this will clearly measure the quality of the ball.
Kohli said that “Quality of the ball was also not what we were very pleased to see as that was also the case in the past. Just the ball completely being destroyed in 60 overs is not something that you experience as a Test side and any side could be prepared for.”
But as per Sanspareils Greenlands Private Limited, who are the manufacturers and suppliers to BCCI, they have noticed the issue and they are working on it and there are some experiments going on to get the root problem for the issue.

Paras Anand, Director, SG, mentioned that There have been issues which have come out in our notice. We are already working on it. There are some new processes we are experimenting with. The results have been very positive. Soon, we will share it with the BCCI and top bowlers. Once we get clearance from them, we will implement it.
And also mentioned that they have delivered the fresh stock but not sure whether BCCI is using balls from the fresh stock for the Test. That could also be one of the reasons.
Anyways, now that the Indian experienced bowlers put this point towards, there are some investigation happening in the back end to find out the root cause and work on it.
