Pakistan Review: Test series against the hosts New Zealand, PAK faced two big defeats. Apart from few positive moments, the strong character was lacking on the field. Faheem Ashraf and Azhar Ali scored the 90s each during the recent Test series in New Zealand. During the first test of that series, Fawad Alam scored a fourth-innings Test century. Babar Azam, the captain, missed this tour due to a thumb injury. As now he has returned to the Test squad, cricket fans can expect a better Pakistan batting line-up and some positive cricket.

The bowling team of Pakistan failed to perform as well against New Zealand. The pace bowling side does not have big experience in international cricket. Their further experience can help them improve their performances and PAK still has a chance to come up with their best. Leg-spinner Yasir Shah would be having a big responsibility.

PAK Full Squad: Babar Azam (C), Abid Ali, Imran Butt, Azhar Ali, Fawad Alam, Saud Shakeel, Faheem Ashraf, Mohammad Nawaz, Mohammad Rizwan, Sarfaraz Ahmed, Nauman Ali, Sajid Khan, Yasir Shah, Haris Rauf, Hasan Ali, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Tabish Khan.

South Africa Review: SA recently completed the home Test series against Sri Lanka. SA won this series by a 2-0 margin. The performance was SA was outstanding and they owned the win. Dean Elgar and Faf du Plessis scored centuries in that Test series. Aiden Markram, Temba Bavuma, Rassie van der Dussen, and Kesav Maharaj were playing extremely well throughout the series.

The bowlers had a really good performance in the series against Sri Lanka. Anrich Nortje, Lutho Sipamla, Wiaan Mulder, and Lungi Ngidi were some strong players. Nortje as the most wicket-taker of the series claimed 11 wickets and Sipamla got 10 wickets. Even after these performances, SA is still in reconstructing phase. Hence, the test series against PAK will not be easy.

SA Full Squad: Quinton de Kock (C), Temba Bavuma, Aiden Markram, Faf du Plessis, Dean Elgar, Kagiso Rabada, Dwaine Pretorius, Keshav Maharaj, Lungi Ngidi, Rassie van der Dussen, Anrich Nortje, Wiaan Mulder, Lutho Sipamla, Beuran Hendricks, Kyle Verreynne, Sarel Erwee, Keegan Petersen, Tabraiz Shamsi, George Linde, Daryn Dupavillon, Marco Jansen

Prediction: Both the teams are not in their best forms and still improving. SA is desperate to break their losing streak and PAK is preparing to perform a stronger cricket. The prediction, in this case, can be difficult as SA being a stronger team might perform better, but PAK is playing on their homeland which adds as a benefit. PAK hasn’t won a single Test against South Africa since 2013, hence, SA might have a slightly higher chance to win the matches.
